ZEKHRA ANELIIA BALUKH
Zekhra Aneliia Balukh is a professional makeup artist with international experience in New York’s beauty and fashion industries. For me, makeup is not simply about creating a beautiful look — it is a way to enhance each person’s individuality and natural beauty. In my work, I pay particular attention to facial anatomy, eye shape, skin tone and texture, age-related features, and individual proportions. I have participated in major fashion projects in New York, including Fashion Week Brooklyn, Fashion4Ukraine, and Young Fashion Show, working as part of professional backstage teams and contributing to the preparation of hundreds of models for runway appearances. My professional journey includes numerous awards at international beauty championships, experience as a professional competition judge, as well as three academic publications focused on multicultural makeup artistry, runway makeup, and backstage processes within the fashion industry. A key area of my work is adapting makeup techniques to different types of appearances. Based on this experience, I developed my own methodology for adapting makeup to different face and eye shapes, age-related features, and multicultural appearances. In September, I will present this methodology as part of a professional presentation at a beauty industry event. Today, I continue to develop as a makeup artist, researcher, speaker, and judge, while maintaining the core principle of my work: makeup should not hide a person’s individuality — it should enhance it.
